Charred wood and metal
2ft x 11.5ft
An act of undoing, doing, and redoing; disassembling, assembling, and reassembling of raw material.

The second section from the top gave way, and the rest of the piece joined the pile on the floor. The intention behind [Dis]assembling is committed to a state of action. It is a piece of undoing, doing, and redoing. As the humid air blooms in spring, the wood stretches and breathes; the molecules expand to hold moisture; the integrity loosens, and the elasticity slackens. The charred wood is at a stage of deconstruction, and will continue the act of which it was meant to do: breakdown, melt, decompose, erode, disintegrate, crumble, deteriorate. [Dis]assembling has completed itself.
